Curriculum

Agricultural lending constitutes a significant portion of the loan portfolio in many community banks. It is a specialized type of commercial lending that requires knowledgeable, skilled loan officers to grow and manage a safe and sound agricultural loan portfolio. Loan underwriting skills are the foundation of sound and prudent lending decisions. 

This loan training provides both an overview of trends in agricultural economics and includes three case studies on cash-to-accrual income analysis and credit analysis. The program also covers key ratios in agricultural credit analysis and the complete underwriting process for agricultural lending.
