Curriculum

Human trafficking, also known as modern-day slavery, is a significant problem in the United States. Every year, millions of people (adults and children) are bought and sold for the purposes of forced labor or sexual exploitation. It can happen to any demographic, any gender, any race, or nationality. This session will take attendees through a real-life human trafficking case to discuss the background of how the victim was coerced into sex and labor trafficking, review how the case was prosecuted, and provide an overview of damages calculated against the trafficker.
